A morning faced with yet more packing, laundry, and a trip to the bank was greatly enlightened with the new of a potential home in Oxford.
What they call 'transit housing' is set up for visiting academic and professionals. Apartments (flats) and houses are usually arranged for a lucky, 1 in 5 visitors (such as ourselves). We applied for assistance a few months ago and never heard anything back, so you can imagine our enthusiasm when we discovered they had a place open for us.
From what I understand it is an old Victorian, 2 family house, really close to the University and train station (for me, in case I work in London or elsewhere) and close to several Wi-Fi spots (to Ben's delight) and shopping (to mine).
Knowing we have a place to sleep each night defiantly makes it all seem a little more real...
